A colleague called me and asked me if I could do him a favor. He needed to check the price of a hotel room.
I checked the prices on several online travel platforms and then I called the hotel booking center to consult the price. I identified the best deal and called my colleague. We found that there’s something interesting. On an online travel platform, there is a good deal but the availability was limited. My colleague called the hotel booking service and we got feedback. That’s their strategy to limit the offers per day.
Indeed, that’s a good strategy to urge the consumers to book as soon as possible. The deal is limited and you had better book now. For me, that’s a good lesson to search for when booking a hotel room. It’s always a good thing to search for as much information as possible. Nonetheless, you have to know the reason behind the information and availability. Sometimes, the best deal is from the hotel and the best choice is to call the hotel service.
In the end, my colleague called the hotel service and he filled out the booking information. The business trip went well and the clients were satisfied.
After this lesson, I’ll surely check the online platform carefully. Moreover, if possible, I will also check the hotel website or even call the hotel service if necessary. It’s better to have as much information as possible to identify the best deal. Nevertheless, I know that sometimes, you might not always get the best deal. If the price or the offer isn’t too bad, it’s better to just order as soon as possible. Sometimes, a big problem is that you can’t find a hotel room or an Airbnb room. That will really drive people crazy and annoying.
