see something traditional?

A friend asked me something in my country. He would like to know if there are any traditional events to attend recently.

I checked on places and shared the information with him. However, that’s not something he wanted. He would like to see something more traditional. Well, I told him that things have become a bit different recently.

However, I still shared some stories about the festival and what I saw when I was a kid. So, my friend can learn a little bit more about the cultural things. Additionally, he might have a better clue to know where he plans to go.

I remember that I accidentally went on a trip during a city’s traditional holiday or a country’s national holiday, and I felt quite lucky to see something traditional in that region. I surely understand the reason why my friend asked me the question and his reaction about hearing changes in tradition.

I didn’t ask my friend about the tradition in his hometown. However, I would spend some time chatting with my friend about the traditions in his country. He’s from Portugal. I only went to Portugal once and for sure, I would like to learn more about his country.

But for me, I’m always wondering one thing. There are so many changes in today’s society. Some changes cause dramatic impacts on several traditions. There is no right or wrong, but changes just happened. Nonetheless, the important thing is to understand the changes behind it. By knowing some reasons, you might have a better understanding of a country. Nonetheless, there’s one thing. During a trip, you have to enjoy the trip. Sometimes, you might not see exactly what you want. If you don't see something traditional in a country you visit, that’s fine. Just enjoy what you see.
