don’t feel ok

A few days ago, I was quite tired and didn’t have much energy to work. However, I still had to go to the office.

That’s normal in life. You might be tired on a day and you don’t have much energy. But you still have to work. But during a trip, if you are a bit tired or don’t feel ok, will you still go out that day?

A friend used to be sick when he was on a flight to Australia. It was before the covid-19 pandemic. He still took the trip, but he spent most of his time in the hotel and didn’t go out. Thankfully, his fiancée was with him. So, he was in good care.

However, for some people, taking a trip is an important thing and all they want to do is to see as much as possible during a trip. For example, some friends like to plan a lot of things in a day. Even if the full schedule might make them tired, they still want to do it. Well, for me, I don’t want to do too many things in a day while traveling. So, when I feel a bit tired, I might wake up late or take a break first. I will go out when I feel ok.

Nonetheless, sometimes, I still go out when I’m sick. For example, I caught a cold on a group trip. I didn't have other options but just followed the group. In that case, I usually slept a lot on a coach bus. Sometimes, I caught a cold, but it wasn’t a serious one. I continued the trip, but I did remember to take medicine.

Hence, a key thing is to understand your body well. If you are exhausted, you should truly take a break first. If it’s ok, you can travel but don’t try to do too many things in a day.
