I had dinner with a leader from a hotel group a few weeks ago. The dinner was at a fine restaurant. We discussed an event that we collaborated on this year.
I was glad that we could collaborate with that leader because she actively helped us on so many things related to the hotel. With her involvement, we were able to solve so many problems and our client was truly satisfied.
However, when it came to the other hotel, our conversation changed dramatically. We talked about the hotel staffers in the other hotel. We just don’t like what they have done. In particular, we didn’t like their attitudes.
We all knew that the project wasn’t an easy one. There are a lot of things that we have to collaborate on. Nonetheless, things just became so complicated when we communicated with the other hotel.
That leader certainly knew the situation and she knew the leadership team of the other hotel. She indicated that she would provide our feedback to the leadership of the other hotel.
Well, we don’t know what the outcomes will be. We don’t know if, in the end, the staffers in that hotel will change. But for me, this time, this project truly has helped me gain a lot of experience.
After the event, I said thank you to that leader and appreciated what she had done. Of course, I wish her good luck. A new hotel will soon open and it will be an important project for her. I can see that there are challenges ahead. Nonetheless, I believe that she will overcome obstacles. And hopefully, we will be able to visit the hotel soon and if she needs us to help promote the hotel, we will certainly do whatever we can. For me, I truly want to see her succeed.
