a farewell party

A friend just waved goodbye to me. She began a new chapter in her life.

 

She will move to Germany. She will start working holiday and next year, she will go back to school. For me, I’m so glad that a new chapter of her life began. Before she moved, we had dinner with some friends.

 

I was quite busy a couple of months ago. One day, I got a message from her. She told me that she was going to move soon. And an important thing for her is to have lunch or dinner with me because we used to do that frequently.

 

Well, thankfully, I was able to have dinner with her and some friends. For us, that might be like a farewell party. We talked about what happened over the last several months. Indeed, so many things happened over the last few months. Our lives just have changed. She was able to secure an offer from a graduate school. For me, I changed my job.

 

We chatted about so many things. My friend indicated that later on, we might meet in Europe or our next dinner will be in Europe. I don’t know when that day will come. Nonetheless, it will be good to meet her in Europe. I only visited Germany a few times. There are still many cities that I’d never been to. Hence, I certainly would like to visit some other cities in Germany and meet my friend.

 

The farewell party wasn’t really a party. Nevertheless, I’m glad that I was able to have dinner with her and some friends. We grabbed some food, which isn’t bad. For me, this is part of our journeys. We might meet someone. We became friends. We chat frequently. Nevertheless, something changes. We have different plans or ideas. We move to another city or change jobs. Anyway, all we have to do is enjoy the moment.
