A couple of months ago, I got a serious problem. I couldn’t log into an application. I needed to check some health insurance information.
The next day, I went to an office which I’d been to before. It’s the place where I can reset the application. Because it’s about health insurance, I had to show my ID card. In the end, things got solved and I can successfully log in.
This case really made me think about password management. Nowadays, we have to log into several accounts. For example, you might need to access your bank accounts, social media accounts or email accounts. Well, there are several ways to set your passwords. For example, one of my former supervisors told me that he just used one password because he didn’t want to remember too many passwords at a time.
Nonetheless, that has become a problem. Nowadays, each website or application has different requirements to set your password. And, I truly couldn’t remember them all. Moreover, there are one or two websites that I only logged in once. Then, I totally forgot the password. I don’t even remember my account name.
The password accident truly makes me think about my journeys. I asked many friends for suggestions. They are very nice and provided suggestions. They sent me links to several websites, for example, hostel websites, information about booking train tickets and so on. I created several accounts. Nonetheless, later on, I basically choose three or four websites that I think are relatively user-friendly.
Well, I don’t want to run the process again. Nonetheless, after this accident, I began to think about some websites that I frequently use when I need information about traveling. I check if I remember all the passwords of those accounts. Thankfully, things went well. Otherwise, I will have to spend some time solving other problems.
