I was in a convenience store. I was waiting for a cup of coffee. A colleague was with me.
After I got the coffee, we walked back to the office. It was raining. Well, not really. It was a rainy day, but at that moment, it wasn’t raining. My colleague indicated that it was bad weather. You don’t know if you should have an umbrella with you. And I talked about the rain jacket.
A friend used to spend his childhood in Seattle. A few years before, he came to Seattle with his wife. It was raining lightly, and his wife couldn’t believe that people don't have an umbrella. My friend told me the story and he said that normally a rain jacket is enough.
Well, I have never been to Seattle before. So, I can’t say anything about this. Nonetheless, I will keep in mind. And for me, that’s a key thing about traveling. You have to know what to prepare before taking a trip.
For me, it’s always bothering me because I don’t like to put an umbrella in my luggage. Firstly, it needs space. Secondly, it might be broken. But sometimes I have to prepare for it because I check the weather forecast and it could rain.
Nevertheless, sometimes, there’s a better way. If you live in a hotel or a hostel, it will be ideal to borrow an umbrella in the lobby. Thus, you might need extra space in the luggage. Additionally, a rain jacket will be useful and it’s better to prepare one if necessary. Well, the weather forecast might not be correct all the time. Being flexible and acting fast are always important. Once you face a rainy day, you have to know what to do next. The most important thing is that you have to avoid being sick.
