Instagram video

I watched a video on Instagram. It mentioned something related to luggage. An influencer talked about some possible ways to avoid luggage becoming overweight.

Luggage has always been an important thing about traveling. In particular, if you are taking low-cost airlines, you have to carefully understand the luggage policy to avoid paying huge additional fees.

Nonetheless, after watching that video, I just thought about a story that a friend shared in a dinner. Back then, that friend had stayed in Europe for a while. He asked us if we know Ryanair. Well, it’s a well-known low-cost airline. So, we all answered “Yes.”

Then, he kept saying that he saw an interesting guy to take a Ryanair flight. How interesting was he? Well, that guy basically put on all his clothes because there was no room in his luggage. That guy looked quite “heavy” with those clothes on. What made things even more interesting was that no Ryanair staff stopped him. So, that man took the flight.

Well, I couldn’t believe that. And I used to be charged a huge amount of money because of extra luggage. Yes, it was charged by Ryanair. It was my very first time taking Ryanair and that experience was just so bad. Nonetheless, that was a good lesson. After that time, I always carefully followed the luggage policy to avoid the same problem. I would rather spend money on other things such as visiting museums and buying beers than paying for extra luggage.

All in all, that video helped me recall some memories about traveling. Indeed, even today, luggage is still a topic that is widely mentioned in traveling. Putting a lot of things in luggage isn’t ideal. However, it’s important to utilize the luggage weights from each airline. So, you know how to make your trip even better and more memorable.
