Going to Japan

I texted a message to a friend. It was her birthday and I wished her a happy birthday. She asked me if I was doing well. And she mentioned a birthday gift.

She indicated that she decided to take a trip to Japan. It would be her first trip to Japan. She flew from Italy to Japan, staying there for 2 weeks.

Just a few days after receiving her message, I saw her post on Facebook. She was in Japan. She must be very excited to travel to Japan. However, just a few days before this friend came to Japan, another friend, who’s a journalist, had a crazy story.

Well, he had to go to Japan to take some photos for news reports. The company notified him and that was a problem. His passport expired and he had to renew his passport. Thankfully, he can get it done. He had some crazy days in Japan because he had to work overnight.

Moreover, he took a direct flight to Japan. Nonetheless, for the returning flight, the company wasn’t able to book a direct flight. So, he had to fly to another airport and wait for the connecting flight to come back home. He told me that he arrived home late at night and he was so tired.

Interestingly, 2 friends came to Japan in the same month. Nonetheless, their stories are totally different. One took a business trip, it was a busy and intense one. And he spent much more time on transportation than he expected. However, the other one enjoyed her very first trip to Japan. She tried to see as many as possible. Moreover, she told me that she liked Japanese food. Indeed, traveling to the same country could be very different for different people. And, it truly depends on the main goal of the trip.
