Canceled

A few months ago, a friend and I planned to go to watch a firework show. We were quite excited and invited some friends to join us.

However, there was a typhoon coming. In the end, the firework show was canceled. My friends and I were a bit disappointed. But, there’s nothing to complain about. Safety first.

Well, the firework show was canceled. However, there’s another date that we can watch the fireworks. Nonetheless, a friend shared her story of traveling to Japan.

It was her first trip to Japan. She was really excited to go to Japan and there were a lot of things on her to-do list. At the beginning of the trip, she bought some clothes and decided to go to some other shops the next few days.

Unfortunately, an earthquake happened. It was a huge one and it dramatically changed her plan. She had nothing to do but cut her trip short. She canceled the rest of the trip and decided to go back home earlier than expected.

Back then, there was little she could do. Canceling the rest of the trip sounds like a reasonable decision.

While traveling, we might sometimes cancel some appointments. For example, a friend and I were traveling in Lyon. Before the trip, my friend booked a dinner at a good restaurant. However, when we arrived in Lyon, we realized that we made a mistake. The restaurant wasn’t close to the hotel we stayed at, and we didn’t have enough time to go to the restaurant and come back on time. We had to unfortunately send an email to the restaurant, indicating that we would like to cancel the reservation. My friend and I were disappointed, but with this lesson, we understand that we could do better to prepare for a trip if we would like to go to a good restaurant.
