Global selling?

I went to meet a friend in his office a couple of months ago. He was in a zoom meeting and it was a meeting organized by a global retailer. My friend was trying to understand a little bit more about doing business globally. Nowadays, we can easily buy products from different countries. Of course, each country has its own rules and each one should follow the import rules. Additionally, a friend really likes golf and he frequently shares videos about golf in a group. One day, I saw an advertisement on Facebook and it was about purchasing golf equipment and apparels from a retailer in Japan. After seeing the advertisement, I quickly texted my friend to ask him whether he knows it. My friend replied in just a few minutes. He didn’t know it. He wasn’t interested in buying from that online retailer, either. He indicated that he would like to just buy some golf equipment in Japan for some reasons. Firstly, he didn’t know about that online retailer and he doesn’t want to pay any shipping fees. In addition, he can visit several retailers in Japan and he may be able to get a better deal in other retailers. Thirdly, he’s very confident that he will be able to travel to Japan very soon. Yes, he’s confident. Japan already eased entry restrictions from June and we already see some travelers go to Japan. Some friends who like to travel just can’t wait for this moment, in particular, a friend used to visit Japan several times a year. He quickly booked accommodation in Tokyo once he saw the news that Japan decided to ease restrictions. Meanwhile, some friends are just sharing their ideas about traveling because they haven’t traveled for a long time. In particular, some friends didn’t even take a trip for a honeymoon.
