Middle

Recently, I listened to some songs on Spotify. Randomly, a song was played, which is a great one, and it turned out the song is “The Middle.”

The song made me recall a story while traveling. A few years ago, I went to Paris to meet some friends. One day, a friend who came to Paris for the first time would like to see Tower Eiffel. So, we decided to go to Tower Eiffel after a walking tour.

We went to the tower and decided to go up to the tower. We quickly bought tickets and began to climb the stairs. We walked and chatted, then we arrived at the first floor. We looked around and took some photos. The weather was ok that day and we did enjoy seeing Paris on the tower.

After walking around the first floor, we kept climbing the stairs to the second floor. The view on the second floor was even better, but the wind was a bit stronger. However, we did enjoy seeing the city as well.

Nonetheless, we were thinking whether we should take the lift to the top. We realized that there might be a problem. We were supposed to go to another friend’s place for dinner. Moreover, we had to buy ingredients before making dinner. Then, we were stuck in the middle of the tower.

 

My friend would like to go up to the top of the tower. However, if we do that, we will surely be late for dinner.

We had to make a decision. We were walking on the second floor.

A couple of hours later, we were eating dinner at another friend’s place. We were discussing something about food and what we saw on the Eiffel Tower. Well, we did think for a while on the tower and we didn’t want to be late and impolite.
