travel with kids

I was in the car, my colleague was driving. We just finished a venue check and we were on the way back to the office.

I asked him about his plan for the future. Well, he’s been with the company for 5 years and he wants to make some changes. Moreover, he has a baby girl. He wants to spend more time with his daughter. And one of his plans is to travel.

He told me that he would like to go to Hong Kong with his wife and daughter. It will be his daughter’s first trip. He wants to check if his daughter is ok for traveling.

That’s surely a good idea because of several reasons. Firstly, he went to Hong Kong several times. His wife knows Hong Kong as well. So, they know how to handle everything. Secondly, he would like to test his daughter if she’s ok for traveling. If so, they can travel to other countries. Thirdly, it’s the first step for him and his wife. With this experience, they will know how to organize the next trip.

I remember that several years ago, a supervisor told me that she would like to travel to Tokyo with her daughter. They were going to Disneyland. That supervisor did share many photos on Facebook and she mentioned her daughter’s smile.

I don’t have any kids. So, it might be hard for me to imagine what might happen while traveling with kids. Nonetheless, that supervisor’s experience truly told me that it’s a good idea to travel with family and create memories. Her daughter is going to college soon. She always told me that it was a great decision to have kids and to travel with kids. Even this year, she still shared some photos on social media about their trips to other countries.
