I just came back from Korea for a business trip. For me, the trip wasn’t an easy one for several reasons.
Firstly, I didn’t have much time preparing for the trip. Moreover, there were a lot of uncertainties. Hence, we couldn’t confirm many things at the very beginning. All I did was try my best to plan the trip. However, I understand that I have to stay flexible because there might be some changes dramatically.
In addition, I’d never been to Korea before and I didn’t know a single word in Korea. Before the trip, I asked a friend who went to Korea several times. I asked him about the transportation, the possible cost and e-sim card. I just asked so many questions. Thankfully, my friend is patient and answered all my questions.
Thirdly, I had to report information to the company that I’m working for. So, the department of administration could help us book flight tickets and accommodation. That wasn’t an easy one since at the beginning, there wasn’t much confirmed. Fortunately, we were able to secure flight tickets.
In the end, we achieved our goal of the trip and built on relationships with the client. It seems pretty good. Nevertheless, for me, I always try to identify a better way to do things. But this time, it’s kind of hard to say what to improve because there was little information at the beginning and it wasn’t easy to get much information at that moment. Nonetheless, a great thing for me is that I finally went to Korea. I was thinking about going to Korea previously. However, I didn’t have enough time previously. This time, with this opportunity, I went to Korea. Well, I didn’t stay long in Korea. But, it’s a start and I have gained a little more knowledge about this country.
