A few months ago, I waved goodbye to a friend. He went to Canada for a working holiday.

 

Before the departure, I asked him several times if he had already changed money. Well, I don’t know if he did so. Anyway, he began a new chapter of his life. I have never visited Canada before. Nonetheless, I planned to do it previously.

 

When I was in college, I met a friend from Canada. Back then, I didn’t speak English well. Many times, I didn’t know what my friend was talking about. There was one time, we were watching baseball games in a living room in a college dormitory. He and other friends were talking about something. I heard a word, “loonie”.

 

I didn’t know what it was. My friend began to explain what they were talking about. I truly appreciated that my friend helped me a lot with learning English. Without him, I couldn’t know that I had so much to learn and improve. That was truly the moment that I started to study hard.

 

I met my friend in Asia a few years ago. However, I still haven’t visited him in Canada. For me, that’s still on my to-do list. I certainly want to visit my friend in Canada in the future. In particular, he has a son and it will be so amazing to visit his beautiful family. Moreover, I will certainly know what loonie is this time.

 

Indeed, meeting this friend not only helps me improve my language skills but also broadens my knowledge. We spent some good time in college. By seeing him traveling to many countries, I began to think about doing the same. I learn a different way to enjoy life. Well, after waving goodbye to that friend who went to Canada for a working holiday, I quickly texted my friend to see if he’s doing well recently.
