I went to a convenience store and bought a lunchbox for dinner. However, a store clerk didn’t react nicely.
A couple of days later, I went to another convenience store, which is the same franchise. A store clerk was very nice and was willing to help me.
Well, two convenience stores in the same franchise, the clerks provided something quite different. One clerk was really nice, nevertheless, the other didn’t do anything outstandingly.
Going to 2 different stores, I had quite a different experience. And that made me think about some people I met while traveling. For example, I remember a short trip to Bologna. I only stayed one night in that city of Italy. After checking in and putting all my luggage in, I decided to go out for dinner. I didn’t want to go too far. So, I chose to go to a restaurant which provides pasta.
I asked a restaurant staffer for some recommendations. She told me about pasta with a sauce from the region. I didn’t hesitate to order that. Additionally, I ordered pizza. Honestly, the pasta and pizza were quite delicious. I was glad that the staffer provided a good suggestion.
I didn’t spend too much time in Bologna and that restaurant is the only one I went to. I didn’t talk much with that staffer. However, the memory was good. Traveling is about meeting people. The people you meet during a trip will somehow define the trip.
For me, I always try to be polite and treat people nicely. I don’t want to act impolitely. I understand that being polite to tourists or people from other countries will be important to provide good impressions to them. So, every time I see a foreigner or a tourist asks me a question. I always try to help. But sometimes, we have to admit that a few people are not so nice.
