Flea market

I was chatting with a friend. She told me that she planned to go to an exchange event with another friend. In the event, you can provide something you don’t need anymore and you will receive a “gift” from others.

It’s always an interesting event. Something you don’t need might be a treasure to others. So, I provided something I don’t need to my friend and wished them good luck in the event.

For me, this event is a great one. Firstly, it’s a good time to clean something you don’t need. Secondly, you might receive something you need or something useful. Thirdly, it’s a good way to avoid waste. If there’s something you don’t need, perhaps, you will just throw it to the garbage can one day. However, if you can give it to someone who needs it. It truly helps the environment.

I didn’t go to that event with my friend because of time conflicts. Nonetheless, I participated in the event in a different way, which is to provide something for exchange. While providing those unnecessary, I just recalled some memories of going to a flea market.

I’ve been to several flea markets previously. And I really like a flea market in the Netherlands. I saw some kids preparing some toys. At the same time, some families prepared some plates. Well, they don’t need those things anymore. For them, it will be great to receive some money by selling those products or exchanging something. Additionally, in particular, for a kid, it might help them learn a little bit about business. Starting early, they might know how to “run a business”. Furthermore, nowadays, ESG has become an important topic. Those kids don’t understand lots of details about ESG. But they already learn the concept of recycling by doing it in the right way.
