I ordered some fried chicken for dinner. Well, I didn’t really know what to eat that day and I randomly browsed on Facebook. I saw a KFC ad and an idea just came out suddenly.
I ordered KFC fried chicken. Well, it tasted good and it looked like a good decision to order fried chicken that day. Eating fried chicken is great, but well, it’s not ideal to taste too often. However, while traveling, fast food sometimes might be the best idea.
I’ve been to several countries. I like to taste local food, however, I did taste fast food such as KFC or McDonalds while traveling.
For me, to go to some of these fast food restaurants means something. Firstly, it’s about the standard. Normally, the food from these restaurants fulfills a certain level of standard, so I can trust the food they provide. In addition, the price is relatively affordable. Of course, the price of a meal varies in different countries. However, it usually falls at the reasonable range.
Nevertheless, not all the food tasted the same globally. For example, fried chicken might not always be the same. A friend from Malaysia indicated that she likes fried chicken in Malaysia because the fried chicken in Malaysia is juicy. She couldn’t find something similar in other countries.
Indeed, that’s something interesting about traveling. Even tasting fried chicken can tell the differences of cultures. By going to one of the global fast food restaurants, you can experience the differences of lifestyles. I just met that friend from Malaysia a few days ago. I haven’t been to Malaysia but she told me that I will have to try fried chicken in KFC in Malaysia. She prepared a list of “must-do” for me. Well, the list is still growing and I believe that there’s really a lot to do.
