It was 5 o’clock in the morning. I woke up to watch a baseball game. A roommate woke up as well. He got his luggage and was ready to leave.
He was going to Cambodia for work. And he will be a leader in a factory there. I waved goodbye to him and wished him the best in the future.
I chatted with him several times before he left. We talked about jobs and careers. Of course, there are ups and downs. And eventually, he was able to get a new job and started a new journey.
He asked me to visit him when I have time. He will show me around. That suggestion is attractive because I haven’t traveled in Cambodia and I heard that there are a lot of good places to go.
After seeing him leave, I was in the living room. I watched TV, but at the same time, I was just thinking about traveling and working. I felt so great to meet this friend. For me, I had an opportunity to learn a different culture and lifestyle. Moreover, I learn a little bit more about the supply chain in Southeast Asia. Additionally, he showed a small pack of “crickets.”, which he said “it’s a snack.” However, I didn’t try. Sorry, I was a bit afraid.
Yes, I would like to visit him in the future, experience lifestyles there and see great scenes. Of course, I like to taste local food, but you know, I might not be courageous to taste some “snacks” and “street food”. So, I hope my friend will not ask me to do that. A few days ago, I sent a message to that friend to see if he’s doing well these days. And, I asked him if staying there for a week is ideal.
