A friend came to the airport to see us. I was with some friends and we were ready to take a trip to Japan.
That friend saw our luggage and asked another friend why he had a laptop. “I have to check the stock market.” Another friend replied. That could be a good reason to have a laptop during a trip because the friend needed to check his portfolio.
Well, I also had a laptop during that trip. Back then, my laptop was a heavy one. But, during that trip, I basically used it to communicate on skype and upload some photos on social media.
Unfortunately, that laptop is not working anymore. I asked if it could be repaired, however, some materials are no longer available. Well, thankfully, the hard drive is not damaged. The laptop was not functioning, but the memories of the trip are still there.
Nowadays, the laptop is getting thinner and lighter. Additionally, many applications have been well-designed and can be used in several devices. Hence, there are some alternatives such as mobile phones and Ipods. If you just need to stay connected on social media, a mobile phone or an Ipod should be enough during a trip.
Nonetheless, there are always several ways to enjoy a trip. 10+ years ago, I traveled with some friends from Latin America. During a trip, a friend didn’t take any photos and I asked him if he took photos during the trip. He indicated that he would like to take some photos with friends. Nonetheless, he doesn’t like to spend too much time taking photos during a trip. He just walked around and enjoyed the trip. I like his way of traveling. He knows what he likes and what he wants. And he doesn’t need to take so many devices with him. He can purely just enjoy traveling.
