Security check

I got an email from an airline company. It was before a trip to the Netherlands, and it indicated some important notices about security checks.

I took a trip to Rotterdam. My plan was to visit a great friend, however, he was traveling to another country. But he still let me stay in his apartment. I arrived in Amsterdam and took a train to Rotterdam.

After arriving in Rotterdam, I got the key from his neighbor. I enjoyed those days in Rotterdam and learned a lot about the city. I didn’t stay long in the city. The night before I left Rotterdam, I grabbed a bottle of beer with my friend’s neighbor.

His neighbor is really nice and we chatted a lot about business, life and so on. He owned a business and the office was in the airport in Rotterdam. He mentioned some restrictions in the airport and he had to leave the office early. It turned out that there was an international conference in the Netherlands. Several global leaders such as the president of the United States would attend the event. Without doubt, the security must be of the highest standard. I talked to that friend, indicating that I got an email from the airline company.

I arrived early at the airport as the email suggested. I passed the security check smoothly. I have attended several international events, however, I have never been to an event like this. And with this trip, I truly learned what a highest standard security could be like. Well, I didn’t face problems during this trip. Nonetheless, after the trip, I was just thinking that it might be better to avoid traveling to some cities if there’s an international event coming. Firstly, it might get more difficult to book a hotel room. Secondly, the security check might take more time. Thirdly, the airport or the flight might have to implement some changes and those changes might have impacts on your trip.
