a book

I just checked my bag after finishing a trip. Again, there’s a book in my bag.

 

It has been a tradition for me since I began to travel. Before I took a trip to Europe, I read a book from a well-known traveler. He mentioned the usage of books in the luggage. So, on my first trip, I had one or two books in the luggage. Those books were helpful in fixing my clothes in my luggage. At the same time, I had that traveler’s book in the luggage, it’s a guidebook for me.

 

Later on, I travel frequently with low-cost airlines. With strict luggage requirements, I normally don’t put books in my luggage. Nonetheless, I usually have a bag with me. In the bag, there’s always a book. Of course, it’s not a huge book. It’s not a hardcover book. It’s a paperback book.

 

The main reason to have a book is that normally, there’s no entertainment on a low-cost flight. So, reading a book is a good way to spend some time on a flight. Moreover, by reading a book, it usually gives me some ideas. Even though it's the same book, every time I read it, I have different perspectives. I might not have enough time to finish a book on a flight. Nonetheless, reading is a good thing to do for me.

 

But there’s a key thing. One book per trip, I only have a book in my bag. Just one book, I don’t want to carry a heavy bag. The space in a bag is limited, so it’s hard to have 2 books in a bag. Additionally, I don’t have that much time to read so many books on a flight. I haven’t finished reading the book. I’ll keep doing it next time. Hopefully, the next trip will come soon.
