Wifi

A few weeks ago, there was a problem with the wifi in my apartment. I couldn’t connect to the wifi. It was quite annoying.

Wifi or internet connection has been so important in our daily life. It’s hard to imagine life without wifi. However, while traveling, I sometimes encountered some problems on the wifi connection.

When I traveled to India for a friend’s wedding, we lived in a resort. You could find anything you need there. For example, a message center. And I tasted great Indian food there. Nonetheless, there was no wifi. At the beginning, I thought that it was ok because for me, I was on holiday and it’s ok to live without wifi.

However, the next 2 days, I got a little bit worried. I felt that I was disconnected and I couldn’t reply to any messages. So, one day, we went to a department store downtown and I quickly asked a staffer to help me connect to the wifi. So, I can at least send some messages quickly to some friends and family.

I remember that other friends and I were using wifi in the department store. Well, we looked addicted. But that wifi connection was quite important for us at that moment.

For me, it’s ok to stay away from my cell phone and stay disconnected for a while. Nonetheless, if it’s disconnected for too long, there might be some problems. We heavily relied on internet connection and wifi connection. Without those connections, we might not be able to make payments and so on. Things have changed a lot these days. Previously, it was just about sending emails and messages. Now, it's a critical utility. Well, I use several applications to organize or plan a trip. That was something I couldn’t expect 20 years ago.
