I texted a friend about her plan on the weekend. She replied to me 2 days after I sent the message.
She told me that she was in a Yoga retreat on the mountains. She was disconnected, so she can fully engage in the class. She also sent me a video about the class.
The weather looked pretty good and the view looked good as well. I’m glad that she could attend that class and I believe that she was recharged after going to the class.
It’s a good reason to travel as well. You can spend a weekend in a place that is disconnected to your daily life. In that way, you can take a break and refresh your mind. Additionally, by doing some exercises, you can regain your energy.
This concept isn’t new to me because I remember that another friend used to go to an island for a class as well. I don’t particularly remember what class it was because I can see that friend coming back much happier.
There are many ways to travel and an important thing is to know your objective. In particular, nowadays, there are so many pressures in life. Sometimes, you really need to take a break. Going to a retreat is a good idea. Of course, it would be ideal if you can take a long break and truly get all your energy back. Nonetheless, you might not have enough time or holidays to do that. Hence, going to do that on a weekend might be a feasible idea. But a key thing is to identify the right place and understand what you will do. If you go to a retreat and still spend too much time on your mobile phone, it will not work. And things might get even worse. I’m glad that my friend didn’t reply to my message because she truly took a good break.
