I don’t know if everyone enjoyed the summer. For me, growing up in Southeast Asia, summer means hot and humid.
Now, it’s even hotter. Hence, the best thing to do in the summer is probably avoid being exposed under the sun for a long time. You might feel extremely uncomfortable, and you might get burned.
When it comes to the summer, I always think about the summer in Australia. It was in January, I took a flight to Sydney. I was quite excited about the trip because it was my first time visiting Australia. January, it was summertime in Australia.
One afternoon, I was downtown with my friend. We were walking on the street and my friend showed me around. Nonetheless, I was quite all right that day. It was kind of hard to explain how I felt. Well, basically, I felt uncomfortable and thirsty.
My friend asked me how I felt, well I explained the situation and we decided to go to a store to get a bottle of water. My friend indicated that actually, he liked the weather in Australia. The main reason why is that he doesn’t sweat a lot in the summer. It’s dry, so you don’t sweat a lot.
It was the first time that I truly knew what dry weather means. I truly felt it. After getting some water, I felt much better. And after that trip, I have a better knowledge about the differences in weather.
I’ve come back to Australia again. However, every time I watch the news about the weather in Australia. I always remember that summer. It rained a lot that year, but I still felt the summer there. For me, that’s not just a trip. It was a great learning experience. I learn a lot of things by walking on the street in a different country.
