Sim card

I’m not surprised about this. I arrived in Seoul. At the airport, I bought an e-sim card. A staffer effectively helped me set up everything. And very soon, I got a notification from my mobile banking application.

It clearly showed that I spent a certain amount of money. It was like an alert. Well, I understand the situation and in the end, it didn’t cause any problems. For me, I more or less like e-sim cards. Previously, I usually changed my sim card when I visited another country. In particular, if I need internet service so badly. With an e-sim card, things have become easier and I can quickly have it set up in the airport. Of course, the service in the airport is great.

Nonetheless, another thing is that it’s a different telecom, so you have to be careful when using some applications. For example, if you use your online banking application, it might show a message that it’s an unknown IP or country. That’s certainly an important thing to watch. If your online banking application doesn’t show this message, you have to be careful, really.

Moreover, a few years ago, I remember that I had a business trip in China. Before the trip, I purchased a sim card and I changed it before landing in an airport in a mega city in Southern China. Nonetheless, I made a mistake. It asked me if I would like to switch my phone number. I accidently clicked yes.

The trip went well. Nevertheless, I didn’t really know if that was a correct decision to change my default phone number. For me, I’m glad to make the trip and it was a successful one and we deliver key insights to our client. But, sometimes, some decisions should be made more accurately, in particular, if I have some concerns.
