some extra days off

Accidentally, I got some extra days off. I didn’t expect this to come. Hence, I didn’t have any plans.

In the end, I didn’t do much on those days but just went to another town. And this made me think about a story around 5 or 6 years ago.

Back then, I got in big trouble. My laptop didn’t work. And I had to ask for help. I searched on several possibilities. For example, calling an apple store for repairing service or other repairing service centers. In the end, a colleague suggested a company with repairing service. One evening, I handed my laptop in to an engineer.

The engineer was very nice. He went through all the process to check my laptop and identify the real problem. The SSD of my laptop was done. It no longer worked. So, the engineer provided some suggestions.

Basically, the engineer asked me to take a break. He told me to take a trip to another country because the laptop won’t be repaired on the weekend. Well, it was a tough moment. But I still laughed. I couldn’t work for a few days. So, I actually had some days off.

Back then, I had little to do but just waited. I bought a new SSD and waited for the engineer to reset my laptop. Eventually, the laptop was back.

Well, these extra days off didn’t come as expected. And I can’t really plan anything. Nonetheless, for me, a key thing is to take a break. Sometimes, there’s something unexpected. Just to embrace changes and enjoy the moment. Think about possible solutions and understand how long it will take. Of course, it’s important to be patient. Previously, my laptop was repaired and I can still restore many photos from several trips. This time, I got recharged a bit and went to a town that I haven’t been to for a while.
