It’s May. For me, it’s a month with many memories. In particular, I remember a summer in Europe.
I was in Spain 10 years ago. Back then, I met many friends. Some are life-time friends and we still keep in touch. That was a great moment in my life.
However, there are many friends that I haven’t met since saying goodbye 10 years ago. I used to send messages to them. Some of them replied, nonetheless, we gradually lost contact.
It’s common in life. It seems that some people just disappear in your life even though you used to be close friends. For example, back in college, my roommates and I were good friends. We studied together and encouraged each other to chase our dreams. Nonetheless, after graduating from college, we gradually lost in touch. I used to meet 1 or 2 roommates occasionally a few years ago. Nonetheless, I have never met a roommate since we waved goodbye to each other.
It's been 10 years since the last time that I met those friends in Spain. I’m wondering if they are doing well. In particular, I’m curious if some of them are still traveling. If you ask me whether I will meet any of them again, I can’t guarantee. Nevertheless, if I meet one of them on the road, I will be super excited. I hope that we could have some time to chat a bit, grabbing a cup of coffee. Well, I might have said beer 10 years ago. But now, I guess drinking a cup of coffee is a safer choice.
We might still have to say goodbye again. Nonetheless, I hope that we can meet again soon. And the next meeting won’t take another 10 years. Really, I appreciate that I could meet many friends on the road. Additionally, I would truly appreciate that I could still be in touch with some of them after saying goodbye.
