Extra time

I texted a friend to ask her if she was going to an exhibition. She said that she was in Lyon for a business trip. I wished her good luck on the trip.

 

At the same time, I recalled a trip to Lyon. My friend and I planned a trip to Lyon before we did our summer internship. We thought about some places and decided to go to Lyon because my friend would like to taste good food. And there are many world-class restaurants in Lyon.

 

We took a flight and arrived in Lyon at night. Then we checked if the tram service was still available. So, we decided to take a tram to the city. After the tram stopped at several stations, we decided to get off. There was a party or an event near the station. My friend and I thought that it would be great to have a look.

 

However, we didn’t do much homework. After checking the event, we realized that we weren’t not close to the hotel we booked. And there weren’t any trams available. We had to think about a solution.

 

We walked on the street at midnight and I decided to enter a hotel. A staffer was there and I asked him if he could help us call a taxi. He was really nice and a few minutes later, a taxi came.

 

We checked in late at night. Thankfully, we could still check in. The next morning, we figured out that we didn’t get off at the right station. Well, we didn’t do much homework and we didn’t have extra time to take another tram. After that night, I certainly know the importance of managing time well. I need extra time just in case something might happen. And it works because it helps avoid some problems.
